Midtown Dental Centre sees patients who have Canadian Dental Care Plan (CDCP) coverage. Our office is at 4411 Tecumseh Rd E in Windsor, Ontario. Phone (519) 944-2401 to schedule a visit, and bring your CDCP details so we can check that coverage is current when you arrive.
About the federal plan
CDCP is run by the Government of Canada. The program describes itself as helping eligible Canadian residents with the cost of dental care. Who qualifies is decided by the government, not by Midtown. Sun Life administers benefits for the government. To apply or ask about eligibility, use canada.ca/dental.
Before you book
The government asks patients to wait until their benefit start date. Care given before that date is outside the plan. When Sun Life sends your welcome materials you will receive a member card; until it arrives you can still attend if you have:
- CDCP member ID
- Photo ID or another piece of identification
- The date your benefits begin
- Your co-payment level
Bring the same details to later visits so coverage can be confirmed each time.
What the plan may or may not pay
Coverage lists and prior-approval rules come from the plan. Depending on your co-payment level, you may owe a share. Midtown does not set those rules and cannot promise what any visit will cost you under CDCP. Review canada.ca/dental before treatment when you need the plan’s own wording.
Private insurance and payment plans
Enrolled CDCP patients are seen under the federal plan as above. If you also have private dental insurance, Midtown Dental Centre bills your insurer directly, so bring your plan details to your visit. Payment plans are offered for any balance your plans leave, and our front desk can explain them before treatment. Fees are not listed on this page.
Services CDCP patients can use here
Enrolled patients use the same Midtown family practice as everyone else: checkups, children’s visits, fillings and other restorative care, and urgent problems during office hours when space allows. Read our family dentist page for everyday care, or our dental emergency signs page when something hurts.
